Terms and conditions

Golden Hour Lawn Games (“we,” “us,” “our”) rents lawn games for weddings. By booking with us, you (“the client”) agree to these terms and conditions.

1. Booking & Confirmation

1. All bookings must be made at least 7 days before the event to allow preparation, cleaning, and packing of the games.

2. To secure your booking, you must complete the online booking form and email the signed quote and documents back to us.

3. Once all games are available and information is correct, you will receive a booking confirmation email with your quote, T&Cs, and delivery instructions.

4. Deposit is required to confirm the booking. Payment can be made via EFT only. No cash, card, or cheque payments are accepted.

5. Full payment is required 7 days before the event. Failure to pay within this period may result in automatic cancellation.

2. Delivery & Collection

1. Golden Hour Lawn Games is based in Alberton, Johannesburg.

2.  It is up to the clients to come and collect and return the Lawn Games to our home office located in Alberton, Johannesburg, if otherwise arranged with Golden Hour Lawn Games. 

3. Standard delivery and collection can be included for locations within 30 km of Alberton.

4. Standard delivery only applies to 3 or more games otherwise games need to be collected and returned by the client.

5. For distances beyond 30 km, additional charges apply at R4 per km (AA Rates).

6. Same-day delivery and collection is available but must be arranged in advance.

7. Delivery and collection times will be agreed upon during the booking process. Modifications must be communicated as early as possible.

3. Rental Period

1. Standard rental is 1–2 days, excluding delivery and collection days.

2. If Golden Hour Lawn Games provides delivery and collection, both will take place on the same day as the event, unless otherwise arranged.

3. Midweek and weekend rentals: clients may collect games the day before the event and return them the day after.

4. Longer rental periods can be arranged upon request and may incur additional costs.

4. Breakage Deposit

1. A refundable R500 breakage deposit applies to all bookings.

2. The deposit will be refunded within 1–2 business days after inspection of the games post-event.

3. Any damage, loss, or missing items will be deducted from the deposit. Clients will be notified of the cost before deductions.

5. Use of Games

1. Games are to be used for their intended purpose only. No children, adults, or animals should stand, climb, or walk on any rental structure.

2. Items should not be exposed to excessive moisture, mud, or rough handling.

3. Instructions for each game will be provided with the booking.

6. Condition of Games

1. While we make every effort to ensure games are in top condition and clean, some scratches, dents, or minor imperfections may occur.

2. Game sets may differ slightly from photographs due to repaints, upgrades, or replacements.

7. Cancellations & Modifications

1. Bookings can be modified, including changes to games or delivery/collection dates, but must be discussed and confirmed in advance.

2. Cancellations within 48 hours of the event may incur the full rental cost.

3. Short-notice bookings are accommodated at our discretion but are not guaranteed.

8. Liability

1. Golden Hour Lawn Games is not responsible for injury, accidents, or damage caused by improper use of the games.

2. Clients are responsible for supervising children and guests while using the games.

3. The client is liable for any damage or loss beyond normal wear and tear.

9. Refunds & Disputes

1. Refunds for breakage deposits will be processed after inspection.

2. Any disputes regarding missing or damaged items will be communicated promptly, with costs deducted from the deposit if necessary.
